At Least 22 Dead, Numerous Injured as Tractor-Trolley Transporting Devotees Crashes into Pond in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj
A tragic accident occurs in Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday morning, taking the lives of 22 people as a tractor-trolley carrying devotees falls into a pond, injuring several more.
Tragic events occurred while the pilgrims were traveling to the holy Ganga River for a ritual immersion on the auspicious day of “Magh Purnima”.Among them eight children ,one guy,and thirteen women were died.
As the tractor tried to pass another vehicle, the tractor-trolley overturned and fell into the 7-8 foot-deep pond. Locals who were on the scene quickly launched rescue operations, and the injured were quickly sent to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
Twenty-two people lost their lives in the Kasganj disaster; five are still being treated here, and two have already been released. The event resulted in injuries to about ten people, according to the Kasganj Chief Medical Officer.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his sincere sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims upon learning about the tragic occurrence. He immediately sent orders to the authorities, requesting that they mobilize as soon as possible and step up their humanitarian efforts. He also emphasized how crucial it is to guarantee that those who are hurt get complete medical attention right away.
Recognizing the depth of their loss, the government declared that the deceased’s relatives would receive Rs 2 lakh in financial aid as a show of sympathy and solidarity. In a similar vein, the injured would receive Rs 50,000 apiece in an effort to lessen their pain and facilitate their recuperation.
