Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his third term on Sunday, June 9, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt in the national capital. Over 8,000 people attended the main ceremony, including professionals and cultural entertainers who brought the event to life.
Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Maldives President Mohammad Muizzu, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay were among the notable guests in attendance, underscoring the event’s international and diplomatic significance.

During the oath ceremony, prominent BJP leaders such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman,Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, were present on the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Special guests at the occasion were Vande Bharat loco pilot from the railway, as well as sanitation workers, transgender staff, and laborers who made important contributions to the Central Vista project. Rat hole miners were also awarded for their brave efforts in rescuing trapped construction workers from a collapsed tunnel in Uttarakhand last year.

The BJP won 240 seats in the recently ended general election, while the NDA won a commanding majority of 293 out of 543 Lok Sabha seats, demonstrating their strong electoral victory.
