The sad occurrence happened close to Tekalgudem village during a search by a joint security personnel team, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P. said. Situated on the border between the districts of Sukma and Bijapur, the village served as the backdrop for the events that transpired.

In response, the CRPF’s Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), a specialist unit dedicated to jungle combat, has adopted efficient countermeasures. Additionally, according to sources, helicopters are being called in to transport the injured.

In a tragic news, sources state that 14 people were injured and three CRPF troops met their demise in the current operation. The notoriously skilled jungle warriors, the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), launched a forceful counteroffensive almost immediately. Helicopters are also to be used in the recovery of injured personnel.
