Recent Attack in Reasi: 50 Detained by Jammu and Kashmir Police After Deadly Pilgrim Bus Assault
Following the Reasi terror attack, the Jammu and Kashmir Police detained 50 people based on strong leads discovered during the investigation. The incident, which targeted a bus carrying pilgrims in the Kanda area of the Union Territory, killed nine people and injured many more.
This round of detentions followed a thorough investigation by the Kanda area police station. The search has now been expanded to Arnas and Mahore, areas historically associated with high levels of militancy.
Recent Attack in Reasi: Investigators Suspect Infiltration by Militants from Rajouri and Poonch
Investigators think militants who crossed the Line of Control from Rajouri and Poonch districts may have infiltrated Reasi as well. This operation, which includes isolated places such as Arnas and Mahore, comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a security review of the Union Territory.
